Polly Crowden is the artist and designer behind theDEN. Growing up in a family of creatives, her love for creating art began at an early age. From the age of 7 she would help her mother with papermaking workshops which lead to experimenting with ceramics, drawing, painting and textiles.

Polly’s interest in sustainable fashion began at RMIT whilst studying a Diploma of Applied Fashion Design & Technology and later developed into the creation of her own label theDEN, established in 2010.

With a mission to contribute to the growing trend of slow fashion as well as producing well-made, quality products, each and every product is designed and created by Polly using her original designs and produced using consciously sourced and ethical materials.

STALL PROFILE: Little Toes, Bibs & Bows

This range of locally handmade children’s clothing and accessories is just divine!

Business owner Rowena started creating bibs when her son was a newborn and she found that store bought bibs weren’t quite cutting it in terms of absorbency.

After designing and sewing some dribble bibs for her son other mums started to ask for bibs for their own bubs which is how the business was born. She has since expanded into clothing and other accessories.

Made mostly with soft and durable fabrics such as cotton, corduroy and denim in a variety of patterns, you’ll be sure to find an outfit for any occasion!
